Do prices include stamping?
Yes, unless otherwise stated in a special promotion or product.
What is the order process?
Once an order is placed, a member of our team will reach out to confirm your information and to schedule your design appointment. This short interaction ensures that we gather all the information for your custom letterhead, contact information for the prospect, and return address.
Do I need a list before ordering?
It depends on how long you will wait for your list. You may order your desired mailer, input the quantity, pay, and give us the list later. However, please note that we do not refund if you overestimate the quantity.

Will I get to see my product before it ships?
Yes, we will generate a proof for your approval before your order is printed.
Is there a minimum order quantity?
Yes, some of our mailers have a minimum order of 500 due to production costs and preparation time. However, there are also mailers with lower minimums, including (but not limited to) the “We Want To Buy Your House” postcards, Asset-Specific Postcards, and Mystical Postcards.
Note: Direct mail marketing is a numbers game. For example, if your market has an average response rate of 0.5%, sending 1,000 mailers will generate 5 inbound calls. Keep in mind that not all of these calls will convert into transactions. It's important to consider volume and numbers when setting expectations for your goals. How should I format my lists for upload when ordering?
Can I get a sample?
Yes! You can order a sampler pack here to see our product line in person.
Can I bring my own designs?
Yes you may. Please contact us at: hello@ballpointmarketing.com to arrange it.
Can I change the copy of the letters?
Yes you may. However, understand that if you’re a real estate investor, we have mailers that have been tried/tested, and proven over several years. You are welcome to ask for changes, however, our sassy robots don’t like to write small, so we can’t get too wordy!
Here is the word count for each of our products:
- Greeting letter style: 50 words max
- Postcards: 35 words max
- Professional letter style: No max (but be aware of page count)

Do you offer bulk discounts?

What is Pre-Sorted vs. First Class mail for Letters?
Pre-Sorted letters are a cost-effective option for letters; however, they get less priority than first-class and therefore it’s slower. First-Class letters, on the other hand, is faster and more reliable, typically arriving within 1–3 days, but come at a higher postage rate. Pre-sorted letter orders are shipped directly to the seller from our permitted office in St. Louis, MO. First-class letter orders are bulk shipped to you, and you simply drop them off at your local USPS for local stamping. This applies to all our letters, like (but not limited to): Greeting Letters, Commercial Letters, Golden Letters, etc.
Why do you ship first-class letters to me?
We ship First-Class letters to you because applying local stamps may have a positive impact on response rates. While it's not guaranteed, in some markets, local stamping has been shown to make the mail feel more personal and less like mass mail, which could increase engagement. However, results can vary by market, so the effect may differ depending on your specific area.
How are postcards shipped?
All postcards have a first class indicia and will be mailed to the recipients on your behalf.
Do you only work in the real estate industry?
No, while most of our customers are in real estate (since we’re real estate professionals ourselves and use our own product), we’ve printed and sent mail for a variety of industries, including home services and retail. We’re always excited to help businesses from other sectors with their marketing too!
Do you offer exclusivity in markets?
We do not offer market exclusivity or market “buy-outs”
What are your response rates?
We can't guarantee specific response rates as they vary greatly depending on factors like location and timing. We've seen response rates range from as low as 0.2% to as high as 2% depending on the industry (though the higher rates are rare and more common in rural markets with low competition). The key metric to track is cost per deal/customer OR ROAS (return on ad spend). In the real estate industry, we offer some of the lowest costs per deal in the nation, typically ranging from $2,000 to $3,500 per deal, depending on your market. Are there guarantees or refunds?
Through our Lead Engine program, yes. In that program, we offer call answering, lists pulled for you, a CRM, mailing done for you, and monthly support calls. We guarantee incoming calls from the campaigns or your money back.
